If the city of Boston handed out suggestion boxes, mine would be overflowing. More new cars on the Red Line, fewer service alerts, declaring 617 Day an official holiday (just off the top of my head). If you've got your own wishlist, SPARK Boston is accepting applications from residents ages 20-35, now through June 30th.

Now that my civic duty is done, my next order of business is giving you a free night out. Enter to win $100 to The Wellington.

JUST ANNOUNCED

  • Broadway's biggest hits are about to get the Lady Bunny treatment. The legendary drag icon is taking a swing at Wicked, Chicago, Cabaret and more for a night of musical theater parody. Enter to win tickets for the hilarity at BNH Stage on August 18th.*

  • Pricey museums? Out. Free entry? In. The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum now offers free admission every Thursday from 5-9pm. All the cool kids are registering in advance.

  • Malcolm Todd just booked MGM Music Hall in September for the Do That Again Tour. We’ve got your free spot on the guest list.

  • The Devil and God must be raging inside millennials, because Brand New is heading to Roadrunner on October 18th and tickets are on sale now.

THE MOST OVERRATED PROPOSAL PLAN IN BOSTON

Photo: Amanda Macchia

Amanda Macchia began her career with a camera, a journalism degree and a knack for chasing a good story. That same instinct drives her work today, creating images that feel real instead of rehearsed. Now, she's popping up at Bow Market with a Pride photo booth celebrating identity, community and showing up exactly as you are. We caught up with her to talk Boston’s best photo spots… and the one place she’d happily never shoot again.
