Every year I tell myself not to buy Halloween candy too early. Every year I ignore my better judgement, eat the entire stash and have to buy more. We don’t even get trick-or-treaters.

If you’re looking for more of a local sugar fix, this candy pop-up has signature sweets, antique candy-making equipment and a little tasty history. If you’re craving a live music fix, I got that, too. Win tickets for Ecca Vandal at Brighton Music Hall later this week.

MAKE SOME NOISE AT THE POLLS

You've screamed your lungs out at concerts this year, now make some noise where it really counts: the polls. Early voting started over the weekend and we put together a guide so you can get the facts straight before you cast your vote.

THIS WEEK

LOCALS ONLY

• Cambridge is getting a taste of one of North America’s best bars tonight: the head bartender from Clemente Bar is taking over Darling for a cocktail showdown.
