Daily Email - Monday - 4/20/2026

I woke up in a panic that I hadn't trained for 26.2 miles, then remembered that I don't run, unless it's to catch the bus as it pulls away from the curb.

HUGE respect to the marathoners. For the rest of us, here’s something more my speed: live music. Win your way in to see Courtney Marie Andrews this week.

LOCALS ONLY

  • Donut miss your chance for the Kane’s Donuts and Sam Adams collab you never knew you needed (kneaded?): the limited-edition 26.2 Brew Donut, available at all Kane’s locations today only.

  • Something about the Marathon always makes me feel like a tourist; the crowds, the cowbells, the sea of blue jackets. Might as well eat like one with our guide of Boston’s most iconic bites.

  • Fun fact: The Marathon used to run on April 19th (Patriots’ Day) unless that was a Sunday. In 1969, Massachusetts decided Mondays were just better, and the race has been a third-Monday-in-April tradition ever since.
