WHERE TO WATCH FIREWORKS

Ready to light it up? We've scouted the best local fireworks displays for your viewing pleasure. A few have already happened, but the biggest displays (ie: Boston Pops) are on deck. Stake out your viewing spot and celebrate America's birthday at one of these spots.

🧨 Harborfest Fireworks

Wednesday at Long Wharf (9:15PM)

Why wait til the 4th for fireworks? Harborfest is closing out Day 1 with a dazzling display launched from a barge near Long Wharf. Post up anywhere along the waterfront and thank us later.

🇺🇸 Footloose on the Freedom Trail

Friday around Boston (times vary)

Start your 4th with a 2.5-mile stroll through Boston’s revolutionary past. Hit 16 historic sites, from the State House to the USS Constitution, and think of it as the most patriotic cardio ever.

📜 Channel Your Inner Revolutionary

Friday at the Old State House (10AM)

Hear the Declaration of Independence read from the Old State House balcony, just like in 1776. History buff or not, this tradition always gives us the chills.

Friday around Boston (4PM)

Paint the town red, white and blue at Boston's official 4th of July bar crawl with an all-American lineup of drink specials, DJs, giveaways and more festive fun.

Friday at the Hatch Shell (7PM)

  • Kings is teaming up with Cisco Brewers to turn their Burlington spot into a pop-up beer garden, pouring craft favorites like Shark Tracker and Summer Rays. Don’t miss the two-day only patio hang.

  • What better way to celebrate the 4th than by seeing the document that started it all? The BPL Special Collections is showcasing original printings of the Declaration of Independence.

  • Looking for plans with less of a bang? July 4th is also First Friday at MassArt x SoWa. Stop by the closing reception to check out the exhibit before it wraps up.

  • Polar Park is trading pitches for picnics on Friday. Family Fest brings lawn games, live music and fireworks to the Worcester stadium.
