Ready to celebrate the 4th? We've whipped up an explosive newsletter (sorry, we had to) so you can get planning. Start the week with a bang and enter to win tickets to one of summer’s best shows: Goo Goo Dolls and Dashboard Confessional!
JUST ANNOUNCED
Harborfest is back, serving up a slice of history with a side of fun. Watch the stars and stripes rise at the flag ceremony, then follow the parade as it marches by the Granary Burial Ground and the Old State House.
The Boston Pops throw the best patriotic party. Their annual concert and fireworks show is a star-spangled spectacle that'll make your heart (and eardrums) swell.
Set sail on a floating fiesta with Boston's skyline as your backdrop. With three party decks and multiple bars, this yacht is basically a nightclub on water.
Raise a glass to freedom at America's most patriotic brewery. Dance to DJs, sip on beer slushies, and score a Fenway Frank combo deal.
Take your fireworks celebrations to new heights at View Boston. You won’t get closer to the action (or more Insta-worthy views) than from the top of the Pru.
BRAND ON THE RUN
Looking for your perfect stars and stripes fit? Rent the Runway is your hookup to sustainable designer styles. Score 40% off your first month with code RTRDOSTUFF so you can shine as bright as the fireworks.*
WHERE TO WATCH FIREWORKS
Ready to light it up? We've scouted the best local fireworks displays for your viewing pleasure. A few have already happened, but the biggest displays (ie: Boston Pops) are on deck. Stake out your viewing spot and celebrate America's birthday at one of these spots.

THIS WEEK
🧨 Harborfest Fireworks
Wednesday at Long Wharf (9:15PM)
Why wait til the 4th for fireworks? Harborfest is closing out Day 1 with a dazzling display launched from a barge near Long Wharf. Post up anywhere along the waterfront and thank us later.
🇺🇸 Footloose on the Freedom Trail
Friday around Boston (times vary)
Start your 4th with a 2.5-mile stroll through Boston’s revolutionary past. Hit 16 historic sites, from the State House to the USS Constitution, and think of it as the most patriotic cardio ever.
📜 Channel Your Inner Revolutionary
Friday at the Old State House (10AM)
Hear the Declaration of Independence read from the Old State House balcony, just like in 1776. History buff or not, this tradition always gives us the chills.
🍻 Red, White & Booze
Friday around Boston (4PM)
Paint the town red, white and blue at Boston's official 4th of July bar crawl with an all-American lineup of drink specials, DJs, giveaways and more festive fun.
🎇 VIP Fireworks
Friday at the Hatch Shell (7PM)
Want to see the Boston Pops but avoid all the crowds? Snag a waterfront view to the fireworks, including ice cream and N/A drinks - money well spent, if you ask us.
LOCALS ONLY
Kings is teaming up with Cisco Brewers to turn their Burlington spot into a pop-up beer garden, pouring craft favorites like Shark Tracker and Summer Rays. Don’t miss the two-day only patio hang.
What better way to celebrate the 4th than by seeing the document that started it all? The BPL Special Collections is showcasing original printings of the Declaration of Independence.
Looking for plans with less of a bang? July 4th is also First Friday at MassArt x SoWa. Stop by the closing reception to check out the exhibit before it wraps up.
Polar Park is trading pitches for picnics on Friday. Family Fest brings lawn games, live music and fireworks to the Worcester stadium.
