LATINX-OWNED RESTAURANTS IN BOSTON

Photo: Gustazo Cuban Kitchen & Bar

Boston's Latin community represents 20% of the city's population and Hispanic Heritage Month is the perfect time to celebrate their contributions. Explore the rich culture and delicious flavors of Latin cuisine by visiting our favorite Hispanic-owned restaurants.

THIS WEEK

Hispanic Heritage Month Mixer

Tonight at Tall Ship (6PM)

This isn’t your typical networking night. Join Boston’s Latinx professionals for games, food and harbor views, with plenty of connection and culture for good measure.

🤔 Simpsons Trivia

Tonight at City Winery (7PM)

Put 30+ seasons of laughs and classic D’oh moments to the test. Don’t have a cow, just bring your best Springfield wisdom and prove you’re a Simpsons superfan.

🧡 First Day of Fall Soirée

Tomorrow at Buttermilk & Bourbon (6PM)

Sweater season starts strong in Arsenal Yards with an autumn harvest buffet, cocktails built for cozy knitwear and live music all evening.

🎥 Outdoor Movie Night: The Goonies

Thursday at Urban Park Roof Garden (6PM)

Hey, you guys! Treasure the end of the season with a rooftop screening high above Cambridge. Goonies never say die, but outdoor movies in New England aren’t so lucky.

🎤 Lorde

Friday at TD Garden (7PM)

You’ve got the “Green Light” to see the Kiwi superstar live on stage. The Ultrasound Tour hits the Garden later this week and there’s still time to grab tickets.

Plain White T’s, We The Kings

Run, baby, run! Tickets are on sale for the Delilah vs Juliet Tour with Plain White T’s and We The Kings at Paradise Rock Club on November 6th. A thousand miles seems pretty far, but all you have to do is take the Green Line.*

LOCALS ONLY

  • Shy Bird Southie is closed for the time being after a small fire, but we rounded up the best spots to get your crispy fried chicken fix in the meantime.

  • Lower Bow Street in Harvard Square has been closed to cars for two years, and now it’s official: after a City Council vote last week, it will remain traffic-free.

  • Massachusetts showed up on USA Today’s fall rankings. Red Apple Farm took the No. 2 spot for orchards (pro tip: skip the drive and visit their stand at Boston Public Market). Davis Mega Maze in Sterling and Applefest at Wachusett Mountain also ranked for corn mazes and fall festival fun.

We’ll take control of this world like it’s all we have to hold on to
