Daily Email - Tuesday - 8/11/2026

My daily reset is a walk through my neighborhood park. Fresh air, no Slack notifications and a parade of happy dogs is hard to beat. I thought I was lucky to have a park a few blocks away, but that's just one of Boston’s biggest flexes: every resident lives within a 10-minute walk of one.

After you get your afternoon walk, we've got your next night out: Blues Traveler in Seaport this weekend. Enter to win tickets.

JUST ANNOUNCED

  • Tonight's plans? Cameron Spann, SB Khi and Antransax alongside local art, photo ops and giveaways, totally free. RSVP now and Amp Up, Boston.

  • The Night Champion Tour lands at Leader Bank Pavilion on August 19th and the only thing louder than Koe Wetzel will be his crowd. Enter to win your way in.*

  • Figure skating gets the fashion treatment at View Boston this month. U.S. Figure Skating x Fashion: Styling brings Olympic champion Alysa Liu, interactive installations and exclusive merch to Back Bay on August 26th.*

  • Before Jaylen Brown bids Boston adieu, he’s throwing one hell of a send-off. 741 Frequency Fest will fill the Common with live music, surprise performances, carnival games, giveaways and more on August 30th.

BOSTON’S BEST BBQ

Barbecue might not be Boston's claim to fame, but these spots make a strong case for changing that. Across the city, local pitmasters are serving smoky brisket, sticky ribs and all the fixings, proving New England knows its way around a smoker.

IN THE FUTURE

LOCALS ONLY

  • Recreational marijuana sales could be on the chopping block come November. A proposed ballot measure would end recreational sales and require the transition to expensive medical licenses in Massachusetts.

  • After nearly 50 years, the Boston Philharmonic is taking its final bow. The orchestra will celebrate its last season in 2026–27 before launching the Zander Center.
